Since we have an Anniversary coming up I thought it would be a good time to update my blog. TJ and I will be celebrating 13 wonderful years together on Tuesday, September 23. With the kids gone this weekend we decided it was a good time to get away, so that is what we did. On Saturday we slept late (my idea, TJ wanted to cut grass but I won) then headed to Atl for the day. Our first stop was the Varsity for lunch. YUMMY!!! After we ate lunch we headed to Atlantic Station. This place was really neat. It was almost like a city within itself. There were so many places to eat, shop and play. Then we took the free shuttle to Ikea. I just want to say that Ikea is the coolest store I have ever been in. This place was massive, selling everything from spatulas to bedroom furniture. After we walked around Ikea we headed to Strip, our dinner spot. The food was delicious. We had nachos and "sushi" for appetizers. Then for the main course I had a filet and TJ had a full rack of ribs. We didn't think to take pictures before hand but here are the remnants of the ribs. As you can tell TJ really enjoyed them.

After dinner, we rode around Atlanta for a little then headed home. We did stop at Hooters for some cheesecake. I know it doesn't sound like the best place for dessert but I promise the cheesecake is delicious there. So that was our day in the city. I had a blast with my honey. It has been a wild 13 years and I hope the next 13 are even wilder :) I love you!!!

The love of my life!!!

I LOVE YOU!
I had a blast too... you failed to mention all the great clearance deals we found at Target and Dillards... :) I think we all ended up with some clothing item for under $5 and of course I got a watch and Sadie got a very nice pillow case dress. We ran into a couple people there that Nicole knew and you couldn't ask for better weather! Really missed the kids though :)
sounds like fun, hope your day tomorrow is just as fun.
It sounds like a lovely day! You are lucky that your man likes to shop! Happy Anniversary tomorrow.
